Psychotherapy & Life Coaching in San Luis Obispo County

Wellness, Stress Management, & Growth

As a therapist & life coach in San Luis Obispo County, California, my approach is rooted in the healing power of the outdoors. Instead of sitting in a traditional office, I offer outdoor sessions. These outdoor sessions can be walking and talking along the beach, sitting in a park, or taking in the fresh air on a scenic trail. The combination of sunlight, movement, and time in nature helps boost mood, reduce stress, and create space for reflection and growth. Many people also find it easier to open up and think clearly when talking side by side rather than face to face. I also offer virtual coaching sessions for clients worldwide, where we can still be creative where we virtually meet! Virtual sessions for life coaching and therapy are also offered for San Luis Obispo County residents. I am flexible, so whatever you prefer!

My coaching and therapy approach is solution focused. For life coaching, the sessions are focused on the present and moving forward; whereas therapy may focus on trauma or impairments that are making it difficult to be your true self. You are the guiding force for both therapy and life coaching; however, coaching is focused on your strengths, past successes, and the times when things have gone well, and together we’ll build on those experiences to create realistic, achievable goals that move you forward with confidence. Sometimes the strengths are already there; they just need a little guidance to be rediscovered and put into action. Life coaching is usually short term; whereas therapy is typically longer term.

While coaching and therapy are different, the goal of each is to help you gain clarity, develop practical tools, and take meaningful steps forward.

It is important to understand the difference between coaching and therapy. I am happy to support you in deciding which route will best meet your needs.

Coaching is different from therapy:

  • It is focused on the present and creating actionable solutions

  • It does not involve diagnosing or treating mental health conditions

  • It is not designed for processing trauma or engaging in long term psychotherapy

Through our therapy or coaching sessions, you’ll learn how to:

  • Identify and set meaningful goals and the steps needed to achieve your goals

  • Develop tools & coping skills to manage your symptoms, reduce stress and enhance emotional wellness

  • Create a path forward that feels balanced and achievable

My goal is to help you reconnect with yourself, discover new perspectives, and leave each session feeling grounded, supported, and motivated.
